Shit... forgot. Epoxy needs a couple of days to harden enough for sanding/ planing/etc. And i had to do a 2nd fill this morning. It ate some after i left it last night.
Well, i think I've got to get back on the ball here... must finish 2 Christmas presents in the shop.
No more playing with knife making until those jewelry boxes are done.
Also, or at least what used to be, hardie cuts with just a score and pop. I think i had to use my concrete saw on the durock. I might have that backwards.
Yes, but Durock is normally 1/2" thick and Hardie backer is 1/4 or so. Hardie is much more expensive, but a better product. Or at least it was 10 years ago when i rebuilt that 100+ year old house.
Just can't hire good help these days.
I know how to repair most all of that, but i can't work for a perfectionist (and that's not you.... the homeowner)
Wife reminded me that the t'day meal is at my mom's- but your invited to that too if you want.
Come over any time and we can fire up the forge. Just pick nice weather. It's got to be run outside.
Your welcome over here... I'm taking the week off since my daughter is out of school. Going to try to get better with this knife grinder. Turns out knife bevels are hard to make... and I'm reasonably good with my hands.
