Yeah that’s a heck of a deal on the barrel. Toolecraft are GTG in my book I like them no problems at all on the 556 carriers. So issues are mag lips or followers. Not failure to fire or eject that’s good to know. Maybe with a lil swapping folliwers grinding lips and sanding followers it feeds...

@boss_hawg what kind of failures did you have with x39 not firing. Did you upgrade a heavy hammer spring or enhanced firing pin as well.

I’m wondering if that can be adjusted with the right springs or buffer to eliminate any unreliability but the only way to figure that out is trial and error. Especially when you Frankinbuild like I do.

The AK feels awkward when I shoot it maybe the balance and length of pull I guess. I like the AR better and it’s more comfortable plus I shoot it more accurately.

After seeing @Mac11FA and his Thumper I thought about that too however for me to use my can it has to be 18” barrel and I have an 18” 223 Wylde I’m happy with but they can be heavy especially adding optics cause I use carry handle and FSB on that one

My specialty ARs have 15 or less round mags for shooting bench and prone or hunting. So no need to worry bout bananas in my tailpipe.

I’m gonna keep 6.5G regardless too much fun with bulk ammo and great hunting rifle. I’m just wanting another to diversify my portfolio of ARs lol.

I like those and the Black Label in 6.5G for hunting too. Hornady makes a great red tip for hunting. Where we hunt in the National Forrest it’s really a 100yd shot they don’t let 4 wheelers in there so you gotta drag that bad boy or flat head outta there. I think I’m getting a cart this year.

I’m thinking about a new upper build. Thinking on the 6.8 SPC or the 762x39. It’s primarily going to be a hunting rifle. Occasional plinking and running suppressed. What are your pros and cons with the 2 and help me decide which one to build. I know that both require a matching bolt to barrel...

I put LMT LA8 on my pistol. Nothing wrong with red dot I just like irons better. That 1x8 is awesome. It’s on my wish list for NF. Deffinately in MOA I cant speak mil lol makes my head hurt.
