This falls into the 'some people get it- some people don't' category; I stopped into the Ruger booth today to do a YouTube video on their new polymer frame striker fired pistol. After getting the run around we finally got handed off to a guy that a) had a chip on his shoulder and b) had no clue who I was. So my crew was setting up lights and getting everything ready for filming when the Ruger employee decides a good idea to tell my crew how to do their job and put restrictions on the amount of booth space we had to use for filming - at this point I pulled the plug on the whole thing and we packed up and left. And in a blink of an eye Ruger lost a minimum of 100,000 or more views on my channel on this one product alone. You ever wonder why NO Special Operations or SWAT teams on the entire planet use anything Ruger makes ? Now you know why

Yeah, but does anyone here really want a Vickers Ruger? I mean, I like their .22LR pistols and SR1911's, but the rest of the stuff is meh.

Sucks the Ruger rep was being an ass. Kind of the opposite of what you want for someone representing your company at the biggest firearms technology expo, but then again, MAYBE they want to be recognized that way :noidea:

I just chalk it up to some guy having no idea who Larry Vickers is. No matter what you think of LAV or the new pistol , you'd just about have to be living under a rock to not know the name. The free publicity alone would have been priceless. Just plain stupid on their part.

Well, it's kinda like this.

Adventure Outdoors is lambasted on some websites. All the bad press doesn't seem to hurt. Every time I'm there they are standing three deep at the counters.

If Ruger doesn't get some publicity I don't see them going under any time soon.

But not the way I would run the company.

True. But it also proves that Ruger has no idea who the real market is for their new "duty" pistol.

There is no real market for their new doody pistol. It will be purchased by the cheap and uninformed.
Very true. But if they are going to come out of the gate positioning it as a duty pistol, they could at least try to convince us that it's not a piece of crap.

Vltor is introducing a revised VIS upper and keymod rail. The rail appears to be very competitively priced at $189 for the 15" model. Shorter lengths should be even less.

I guess I need to be a bigger jack ass to make it in the gun industry... Oh, by the way @Hayata yesterday was the 1st time I walked into Adventure Outdoors. They had some deals on ammo, but not so sure about getting work done there on any of my guns.

LOL! I wish I could have seen Larry Vickers face when they told him they didn't know who he was.

Not good on Ruger's part though.

I'm liking that. I wonder what the inside diameter is?

Personally I've always been treated well there.

It's like going to a gun show without the entry fee.

No, I would not let them work on any of my firearms.
