Temporary. No $1500 decision should affect you permanently.
more than $1500
Realistically, it won't affect shit. I'm not gonna miss bills or even cut back on anything....just never spent that much on what is essentially a toy.

Oh jeez, now we're gonna have to get an update every 6 hours about where a piece of canvas is now and hear bitching about how incompetent the carrier is. :rolleyes2:

That watch deserves one of these straps.

Never been a fan of leather or rubber bands.
Plus, the black bay heritage is an homage to the early Tudor subs, many of which ended up being used by french Navy divers and getting OG chute webbing straps.

You can't go wrong with a canvas NATO. I'm not typically a fan of the striped versions, but that thin pinstripe style looks pretty good.

We were discussing Glycine before. I'm looking at the 43mm Combat 6 classic. I'm not knowledgeable on the various Glycine movements. Is the GL224 pretty accurate?

The GL224 is just a ETA 2824. There's a reason ETA movements are as popular as they are...they're reliable, durable and easily maintained.

The strap I ordered is actually nylon and natural rubber woven together. They say it's a really comfortable strap. I ordered the version where the center pinstripe is actually luminous.

So, it's gonna be 2-3 weeks for the MN strap to arrive. I went to Levy's Jewelers and bought a longer leather strap today. It ain't perfect, but it actually fits. IMG_20181124_184656.jpg

It's helpful to see a watch on a more normal sized wrist. The majority of guys on a watch forum seem to have arms the size of an 9 year old girl, and you can never get an accurate sense of watch size from the pictures they take.
