Did a little 4.6 miler, had a guy along that took about 3 months off from running so we didn't want to give him a heart attack.

I thought @PewPewPewCo had a great idea when he posted his workout today.

Post yours here. This isn't a competitive thread. Everyone is in a different place with different goals. No judgement., just ideas and accountability.

What works for you? What doesn't?

@blueknight better be posting here daily.
Jogged 5 miles

Old people problems.

I ran a mile the last two nights. Thats about as far as I can go before my throat is on fire bc its 30 degrees outside.....

Ha, I've been injury free for about a year...it was my time. Your throats on fire because you're struggling to get oxygen since your cardio is lacking. Does it feel like there's blood in your throat? Yep...I remember that too. It'll pass, keep at it.

30 degrees is perfect running weather, by spring you can see if you can keep pace with me and my group.

Could be. But isnt cold air more dense, meaning im geting more oxygen per breath? I hate the cold. I love running in the heat.

Yeah a little, but you're cardio is lacking. Your Vo2 max is low, and you aren't able to get enough oxygen to your muscles. It'll improve as you keep at it. It's not cold enough for it to really affect you in a negative way. Just don't over dress. I wear the same thing I wear when it's 100 degrees, clear down to 32. Then I add light gloves, but that's it.

I see guys running in coats and big hats...that's fine if you aren't going fast enough to warm up or only going a couple miles.

Work in some hills. Run with a bandana over your face (bandit style) if it continues to be a problem.
