I was at our local WalMart yesterday and they had all sorts of pistol ammo in their cabinet. Buying the limit on any one caliber would not have cleaned them out of it.

Drove to Augusta yesterday. Both Wally World and Dicks had a good supply of handgun, shotgun and rifle ammo (both their delivery days for ammo is on Wed morning and I was there on a Tuesday afternoon) except the elusive 22LR/22mag. Maybe the supplies are starting to increase!

I was out making the rounds today and ran into an Older Guy who was buying a Ruger LCP. He had a few questions so I gave him a few tips on breaking her in.

I also picked up another box of 100 each CCI Mini-Mags. They’re 40 grains, copper plated, which my 22LRs prefer. I also scored another box last week. But at $9.71 per box that’s 97.1 cents per round who would have thought 22LR would go that high?

No range trips this week, Thursday I’m off the Orlando and Disney. Back in town maybe next Monday. I was in Tampa last year and things were bone dry regarding ammunition.

When I was in school, we were taught that to divide by 100, you move the decimal point to the left two places to eliminate the two zeros in 100. So, by dividing 8.99 by 100 would equal .0899 or about 9¢ a round.

I was at Walmart yesterday picked up 5 boxes of 762 by 39. The price went up to $5.47.
There 3 box limit is now only on 22 rimfire ammunition.

You betcha!. Normally I'd check with my accountant. I used a calculator.

My son took a quick business trip down to Columbus, OH. While there, he stopped at one of the bigger sport outfitters there. He was told there is no .22 anything available in the entire region. At least we can get some .22 around here, even if the price is a little inflated.

Today I scored 3 boxes of Federal 22lr at my local Walmart. They had more 22lr than i have seen there in quite a while. 1650 rounds should last a couple range trips.

Cabela's is opening a new store in Greenville, SC tomorrow. I attended a pre-opening by invitation event yesterday and they had ammo like the old days. Row after row of boxes of ammo and plastic ammo cans filled with bulk name brand ammo. Don't expect it to last but tomorrow will be a big day if you can get into the store. They did limit the amount you can buy but very reasonable prices and incredible selection.
