WalMart in Arnold MO has CCI Mini-Mag 22lr round point and hollow point. They had over a case left when I was there an hour ago.

My Wmart in Centennial CO (Arapahoe/Havana) had stacks of the 100rd CCI MiniMags this morning for $7.50each. I generally look for the 40gr RN and these were 36gr HP's but I'm not very picky anymore. Tons of target 5.56, 7.62nato, 40, 45, 357sig, and 44mag also. No 9mm, 7.62x39, 380, 38sp or any defensive handgun ammo.

Vance's in Columbus had 22lr in stock this past weekend $22 for 325 rounds. I am going back tomorrow to see if they still have any in stock.

Since the Widow passed her CWP Class Saturday and forgot to pick up any ammunition, I let her have the 380 ammunition from my spare magazine for the Ruger LCP and a couple of rounds from the pistol it’s self. So yesterday I went shopping for replacement ammunition. Only one place had any self defense .380 ammo, Palmetto Arms. At $24.99 for a box of 25 Hornady Critical Defense 90 gr FTX s it wasn’t too bad. I prefer Speer Gold Dots but this was the only one available and the last box in stock.

Next stop was the local Sportsman’s Warehouse. Their ammunition truck comes in on Monday’s and the good stuff goes fast. Reminds me of a couple of deployments I got sent on when I was in the military. Once a week a C-130 or C-141 would fly in with supplies and equipment. What passed for a small canteen rationed things out, on a limited basis. 6 months in the Greater Sahara Desert was character building. I saw loads worse.

They didn’t have any 380 SD Ammunition and there were only two boxes of CCI Mini Mags sitting on the shelf. It wasn’t 40 Grain, but what the heck. I reached to get a box and a fellow standing next to me expressed the same sentiment. I picked up one box and motioned for him to take the other. Once has to be civilized about this sort of stuff.

I’ve been to two Wal-Mart’s this week and as usual their shelves are bare. $7.99 for a box of Mini-Mags isn’t too bad compared to the recent prices at several local gun shows. Sportsman’s had not any 22LR since the first of October.

Gun range or fishing today, haven't decided which?

Hey yz9890, when did you leave the Louisville area for Colorado?

In May. My wife and kids are still in Kentucky until my daughter graduates from high school though.

Was in WalMart today, picked up 3 - 50 round boxes of Federal Champion 9mm luger ammo @$14.97 / box. They also had some .45 acp, 38 spl, and 40 S&W in stock, but no 22lr. They had more ammo on their shelves than I've seen in probably a year.

Nice grab Silver.

I lucked out at Walmart tonight also. I haven't seen 38sp in a long time.

Actually, after re-checking my receipt it was $14.77/ box.. Not that it makes much difference. It's all gone now thanks to my new Beretta 92fs, it was fun while it lasted.

I scored another 3 / 50 round boxes of 9mm Federal Champion @ WalMart yesterday, late afternoon. It was all they had left, but they had removed the 3 box limit. The guy working in the department said they had gotten a lot of ammo in, including 22lr. I guess the moral to the story is the "early bird catches the worm", or in this case the ammo.

Here is a pic of the ammo. Not wanting to get into a discussion of Tula, only it's availability. My guns love Tula, if yours do as well then you may be in luck.
