How Do Suppressors Affect Velocity

Have you metered or tested the theory. How do Suppressors affect the velocity of the bullet ? What do you think ?

The projectile is forced out of the barrel by the pressure of the expanding gases of the propellant.

The silencer shouldn't have any affect on that part of the process.

I have no idea how much more influence the expanding propellant has on the projectile once it has left the barrel.

223 was the decreased 1 all others increased. There was a gas switch on the 223 and 556 what roll did that played in the results and he also dropped the mag for the final shot too.

Thanks i forgot the word. I have found that most suppressors of similar caliber are using the same bore diameters now.

I thought the same thing but then theorized that when he had it in "suppressed" mode it would have sent more gas down the barrel behind it so it should have increased.

But for testing purposes he should have kept it the same.
