I made a jig for my chop saw to chop square with and a jig to cut the grooves for the baseplate.

If you look at the stub, you'll see I played with a soldering iron on the top side to burn the groove vs actually cutting the groove.
Polymer mags are thinner, flimsy and cutting polymer leaves a rolled edge vs square and the baseplate kept popping off drop testing while loaded.
I doubt I'll do anymore made of cheap polymer mags unless I plasti-weld a lip at the bottom for the baseplate to lock onto. Probably a waste of time.

Plum material cuts clean, very tough and rigid almost like a dense fiberglass resin
