Since I've got someone taking care of all the backyard stuff, I'm gonna try and get the INDOOR stuff done. Gonna probably do all the other stuff though haha.

I have to drop off the blower since I can't figure out why it won't start. Might go buy a cordless electric.

@Miles our fig tree is going absolutely bonkers.

How can we collect the ones that fall?

And what the hell can we do with hundreds(literally) of figs. It's producing faster than we can harvest and jar lol...
If they fall, leave them. If you have time, toss them away from the tree, to keep ants and wasps away from teh tree.
Pick figs before they are 100% ripe (soft to touch, but upper half still has green) . Will give you a couple of days to process.

Sell the excess. Publix sells them when they are in season. Charge less and sell them yourself.

Freeze the whole figs and make jams later. Do not do straight fig jams. Experiment. I won't give out our best recipe till it is copyrighted and is in stores. Those who tried it, come back begging for more.
You think you have a lot ? :becky: We have 2 producing trees and a baby tree.
When figs come, you have to pick them every other day if you pick thoroughly; daily, if you surface pick.

Back in the day it was 40 rounds total. 20 prone unsupported and 20 supported from a foxhole. The new one looks more like a PRS competition.

The new qualification is much harder. You start at the standing low ready, shoot one target at 50m, then go to a prone unsupported position and shoot 9 more targets out to 300m, but there are multiple targets at the same time 3 to 4 targets out to 150 to 300 meters. Then after that series of targets, and your 10 round mag runs out, you have 3 seconds to change your mag, and get into a prone supported position. Then engage 10 more targets, with up to 3 targets up at the same time out to 300 meters. After that 10 mag goes dry. 3 seconds to change your mag, and go to a kneeling supported position, engage targets out to 300 meters w/ multiple targets, up to 3 targets per exposure. When that mag gos empty, 3 seconds to change mags, and get into a standing supported position, and once again engaging targets out to 300 meters, with up to 3 exposures at one time. I think the targets are up for 7 seconds, if you have 3 targets up at one time. I think you get 9 seconds if you have 4 targets up at one time. And this is with iron sights. Out of the 100 or so people at the range that day, maybe 20 people had a legitimate qualification, with 40 rounds... and yes I was one of them. Normally I shoot 38 to 40 on the qualification. I was one of the first to zero and get on the qualification range, since I was going to be a range safety/coach. I was thrown on a lane, with 40 rounds, no target identification for my lane, and then the tower, startled the qualification. I had no idea that the 50 meter target on my left was in my lane, so I never shot at it. I ended up with a whopping score of 29, out of 40 targets.

Then I spent the rest of the day on the range cooking in the Kentucky sun, calling out targets to soliders who were woefully unprepared for this type of shooting and qualification. And as added bonus, the fucking ammo point opened every Goddamn can of ammo and we spent a hour burning up 2000 rounds of ammo.

How was everyone else's weekend?

It's a little like 3 gun competition, but unlike, 3 gun, you only get 1 round per target. I think that could have bagged 5 or 6 more targets, if I shot it a second time, and had a range coach helping me and calling out targets. This qualification is no joke.
