Features you want to see on a can

And I'm talking about any can i.e pistol, rimfire, rifle. What features do you long for on a can?

most important to me is solid lock up.

Ran over 1k rounds through my Sandma this weekend and it didnt come loose a single bit.

Rifle: One handed QD functioning, hearing safe, full auto rated. Also really like the cans that use cheap mounts like basic A2 flash hiders.

Pistol: modular, 3 lug(low profile specifically), steel baffles, user serviceable

Rimfire: tube protected from lead, steel baffles

A can that the manufacturer will warrant me to dunk it in water when it's red hot. Full auto heat gets crazy on those rifle cans and I'd like to quickly cool it every so often without the fear of warping

How about QD that doesn't need to be close to the muzzle? That would be an innovation that would help guys who want to tuck the can under a rail.

Better heat resistance is always a plus.

Dead air already addressed that with their one handed QD that doesn't have a latch.

Yup, I have a YHM can as well.

I prefer the Dead Air mount system though since it doesnt add more length to the mounting system like YHM does.

A can with a Teflon coating on the OUTSIDE so you can put it in a case while still hot.

How bout a 30 cal can for pistol and rifle that's 15oz. or less. Can handle 5.7 - 308. Serviceable. Has an exoskeleton that you can touch even after a rampage of FA dumps and has a QD that locks it up tight. A price tag around $500 would make this suppressor perfect.

If you're only shooting 5.7-308 you don't need to clean it

It will eventually need to be serviced won't it. Is there not a buildup inside all cans.

Not really. High pressure rifle calibers pretty much burn everything up or blow it out.
