So I got my approved Form 1 email....I printed the document but ti doesn't have have anything back printed on it....like a big diagonal "DRAFT" or "SUBMITTED" or "APPROVED"....is it supposed to? It just has a picture of the stamp in the top right.

Also, this is the go-ahead to cut my barrel and get the gun engraved?

Should have the approved box checked with a signature.

I wouldn't cut it if you're going to sell it.

I'm not sure how that works....so as long as I don't cut it I can sell as non-NFA even though the SN is registered?

There should be a box with an x in it that says approved above the examiner's sig.

Nah I've got to sell it. I don't know that I feel comfortable relying on a gun that has a theoretical effective range of 300m but a practical range of 100m as my only real defensive rifle.

How long would the barrel be?

My 10.5 5.56 is effective out to 300 easy.

Yes and no. It's not my only rifle but it is my go to rifle. I ran it in the valor ridge class where we shoot out to 300 and as close as 7.

I dunno man. Makes me,nervous...but at the same time I can't see the need for many 300m shots

My understanding based on info posted in another thread is that you can get the $200 refunded if you haven't built the gun yet. Would that apply if you hadn't actually cut it down? I think @NWS had addressed this if I'm not mistaken.

Most likely if you ever did "need" to use this it would be under 100 yds. Especially if you live near/in a city.

Kennesaw.

Plus....if hillary gets in office this may well be my last chance to have one at any price.
