Hey kids,

I had @heavyd build up a trust for NFA purchases, and I'm just wondering which hoops (if any) I'd have to jump through to add a trustee. I have a very good friend that I'd like to add so he could possess my NFA items while we are on hunts.

Thanks!

My understanding is that it's perfectly fine for him to use them as long as you are present

That said, @heavyd seems to have this down to a science, so I suspect he has an addendum blank for just this purpose.

Yeah, but I might not be present. I might be 15 miles away on the other side of the ranch.

Just email Dean. All that's needed is a single page addendum, I'm sure he has blanks ready.

If you have a co-Trustee on your trust, they have to be 41F compliant. Not sure if it is retroactive on all the stuff you already have but since the Trustee would be added after 41F, it is a good chance. You would simply file an amendment to your trust to have it changed. Just remember as co-trustees you would each be held responsible.
