I was out making the rounds today with a friend and ran into an old Classic Smith & Wesson Revolver, chambered for .38 Special ammunition. It was a Model 10-8 revolver, with a square butt and a 3 inch barrel, non-pinned. It’s a “heavy barrel” and in great shape. The asking price was $399.00...

I like the looks of it...... The one picture makes it look like a Ray Gun from a Science Fiction Movie. Other aspects of the design remind me of a Walther PPK S-1. Interesting.

Many a cold winter morning I had to drag my behind out to a requalification course on a pistol or rifle range. But that was many moons ago, these days it's strictly indoors in the winter months. Call me wimp, and I'll smile. I moved South in 1989 and freezing was the reason.

Last Saturday I was packing a Ruger LCP .380 and a Walther PPK S-1. I chartered a boat at Edisto Island and went back into Scott Creek up off the Wadmalaw River. The temperature was in the high 30s. We started out fishing off Otter Island but thanks to some dolphins and some cold weather...

So do I. She's a great shooter, especially on an indoor range. Lots of boom and the flames fly. I bought it as a retirement/birthday gift when I retired in January 2012. I've always wanted a Kimber and got tired of just looking at them through the display case glass like a kid in a candy store.
