I'm running the KAK tube on my pistol as well. With a Colt pattern lower, it locks on the last round. It sounds like the bolt is longer than normal. I dont have my 9mm in front of me, but I'll check it tomorrow & see how far past the bolt stop, the bolt can travel. I can measure the bolt length too.

The bolt, I'm not sure. It had very sharp edges all over. But it did 'match' the barrel, headspace wise. The sharp edges chewed up the Colt pattern ejector, that had to be deburred once I noticed it. Labor wise, if you paid someone to do the barrel & bolt work, it would cost about $100. I have...

It runs 100% on a New Frontier Glock lower.

Feed ramp altered & polished. Bolt modified to correct interference with Colt mag.

You can see where the case is binding, going into the chamber.

Test firing with the new bolt & Colt mags still resulted in 50% feeding. No issues extracting. So, now I teardown & recut the feed cone.

Well it doesn't feed at all on a Colt pattern lower, the bolt hits the mag feed lips before it ever touches the cartridge. Substituting a R&D(Palmetto, etc) bolt solves going into battery. Now to test fire with the replacement bolt.

On a Glock mag lower, 1rst feed & 4th feed looked like this. It will fire & eject if it chambers, which it fails to do 50% right now.

This is the first unfinished/poor QC part encountered. Bolt weight shows raw material shear cut.

Barrel to upper fit is loose. Almost sloppy. Barrel measures .998", upper measures 1.003". For comparison, a random Aero P upper measures .0998". They run on the tight side of tolerances. While tightening the brake, the crush washer cracked.

Upper receiver assembled, no surprises.

Don't know yet. I have parts on hand for a drop in Colt mag block, but I also have Angstadt lowers on the way. Its possible that it may run with one type mag & not the other. But the bolt is compatible with Glock or Colt.

DSP did a bunch of lowers for me, in 2008. I haven't tried them since they moved down 247.

Looks like a manticore bullnose forend & brace. Just change your parts out.
