Mainly looking for a relatively inexpensive FFP optic with a more advanced reticle than a duplex. Mostly using the rifle for fun and to learn “long range” style shooting and using an optic and reticle properly.

Finally picked up a 457. Im looking at the vortex diamondback tactical ffp 6-24 ebr-2c on probably the area 419 rail. Any reason I shouldnt go this way, or should I look at anything else? Anyone have a decent optic for sale/trade that would do well on this setup?

Sort of. A lightning link uses a semi auto carrier to trip a lever that pulls the disconnector out of the way. This uses an auto cut bolt to push the tail of the disconnector down, releasing the hammer. Same results, different way to get there

It depends on what you need the gun for too. For a dedicated competition gun, I think you would be better off with the MPX. But there are many reasons why I chose to buy a B&T over an MPX, and price had nothing to do with it.
