    Recommendations for a powder scale

J, I have an additional thought that came to me while reloading some .223 stuff about an hour ago. Make sure that - for any type of powder scale you go to - you get several calibrated test weights. Some digital scales, including the RCBS/Pact scale that I use, come with specific weights that...

    Recommendations for a powder scale

There are several possible reasons that you cannot zero the scale. The pivots may be damaged, dirty, or corroded. Carefully inspect the knife edges and the "V" slots they pivot in for damage, dirt, or corrosion. The pan may not be the one supplied with the scale and could be too light or...

    Recommendations for a powder scale

If all you want is a scale that you manually feed powder to (as opposed to an electronically coupled feeder), most of the name-brand scales would probably do pretty well for you. I have not purchased an electronic scale in at least ten years, so I don't have any information on currently sold...

    Recommendations for a powder scale

Do you want a simple manually operated scale or something coupled to an automated powder feeding system? There are lots of options available.

Review: Single shot magazine follower for the AR-15

That is really a neat idea. My AR-15 rifle is made by Fulton Armory, by the way.

CAUTION: Ruger LCP totally destroyed by bad "commercial" loads

If you do reloading, what you could is pull all the bullets with a kinetic bullet puller (looks like a plastic hammer) and then recharge the cartridges with a known amount of a known powder for a standard velocity load. The bullets could then be reused, so the powder load should be based on...

What ammo brand was that, Dave?

Poll...How many rounds of .223 do you keep on hand.......

Range trip PSA M4A1- Savage- Rossi- Marlin rifles

My concern is that with the sight being on the handguard it may not be as rigidly connected to the receiver. However, I've never built a free-floating AR yet so I don't know how rigid the handguard would be. My son built a 1/3MOA AR a couple of years back which used a free-floating barrel...

Range trip PSA M4A1- Savage- Rossi- Marlin rifles

I agree with that. In addition, I would never want the main optic mounted anywhere but on the receiver. My EoTech sight, magnifier, and BUIS all fit on the AR-15 receiver's rail.

Range trip PSA M4A1- Savage- Rossi- Marlin rifles

Looks like fun. Unfortunately, we have rain forecast for the whole next week. I just got my EoTech 3x magnifier for my AR a few days ago and can't get out to play with it. :-[

    KRISS Vector CRB Super-V .45ACP 16"

That outfit sure does make some interesting options (SBR and full auto versions). They need a belt-fed .45ACP package, though. ;)

POLL: When will the ammo shortage end?

That's a bummer. I just found that the Hornady bullets I use in my AR15 are back in stock after a couple months of waiting. I just ordered another 500.

POLL: When will the ammo shortage end?

I'd like to know what sort of glue they stick the ammo to vertical shelves with. I want some of that stuff..... ::)

    Air rifle of the week

Dave - is there a (presumably a multi-pump) air rifle available that would provide enough energy to cleanly kill a full-sized rabbit at up to 100 feet and not cost an arm and a leg? I'm guessing that I would want a .22 caliber pellet for maximum effect as opposed to a .17 caliber. The idea is...
