    Cool mailbox!

The owner could just pull the trigger to get rid of any undesired mail... ::)

    Stabbings near Houston

I'm in Texas on a trip and, surprisingly, we saw a news broadcast that actually suggested that the incident (and others such as the theater shooting in Aurora CO and others) may not have happened if the location was not a "gun free zone".

    AR/AFG question

I have not seen any thinner rail sections, but I'd bet that it would be possible (with a little modification, of course) to screw the grip directly to the handguard. Of course, it couldn't be removed quickly, but a grip usually isn't removed very often.

The gun store shelves were nearly empty but a Sig SP2022 was begging for a home

Re: The gun shelves were empty but a Sig SP2022 was begging for a home I've wanted to play with that caliber, but the "Finance Division" has sorta limited what I can do with my "wants". ::)

Sounds great, Doug. I'm glad it went smoothly for ya.

    Ooops... I did it again!!!!

Sounds great. My 66th was this past Monday (yeah, it's the "special" day). I think you definitely deserved that. I didn't get one, though. :-\

    Got the optic on

Lookin' good. I have an EOTech red dot sight on my AR but I want to get a scope to be able to switch the sighting for really long-range stuff. I'm not sure which mount I want to use, though.

NY should limit people to 2-pack beer

Yup. We could also think about rationing pretzels, chips, and hot dogs to help folks lose a little weight. ::)

One pellet - 5 pop cans

That reminds me of when I and the kids I hung around with went down to the hardware store and bought a bag of #6 lead shot. Away from public view, all but one of the guys in the group would crouch at a line. Then, the one guy - the "shooter" - loaded a pinch of shot into the pouch of a Whamo...

One pellet - 5 pop cans

Of course, most of us who grew up around BB guns heard "you'll shoot your eye out" from our own Moms long before that movie ever came out. That's what makes this so funny for a lot of us.

I have a good problem! Looking for feedback/advice

Doug, to me it sounds like you should do whatever makes you happy while you're doing it. I, for example, like to design things and create them - whether they are made from wood, metal, electronic stuff, leather, photographs, or whatever. I don't think that I would enjoy doing rote production...

I have a good problem! Looking for feedback/advice

I agree with those who essentially suggest that you simply let the customers know of your backlog and let them decide to wait for the quality rather than going to a high-production so-so quality vendor. There will always be customers who are willing to wait for a premium product.

The Media just can't help being stupid

I have a nephew and his wife who live in the Chicago area (a few miles north of the Loop) and I won't go there to visit except for a day-trip. They like to go into the downtown area and I won't do that.
