    If no foul play is expected the ATF generally thanks you for reporting. Then, you never hear from them until the gun is used in a crime or someone attempts to transfer them. If foul play is expected they start taking things.

    Definitely go multi caliber on all cans. You cannot tell a difference in sound. No sense in spending $200 + the can to be stuck with one caliber.
