    Training facilities/ranges around Savannah?

Got a 2-parter here: 1. Anyone familiar with a facility that I can use in the Savannah area to teach a live-fire carbine course? I am fully insured and will add the facility on my rider. 2. Anyone here interested in attending such a course? I don’t have the particulars worked out yet...

Instructor’s observations from the recent Combat Carbine & Lowlight Techniques

AAR by one of the students that attended this course: As other have stated, another great class and the additional low light training was outstanding. The rain and extended lowlight was once again a wake-up call on gear selection for me and others. This class had a lot of movement at night and...

Instructor’s observations from the recent Combat Carbine & Lowlight Techniques

Additional point: -Some students found that their WML setup was difficult to operate when the carbine was in their support shoulder and their hands had swapped places. An option, other than getting a new light setup, is to switch the weapon to your support shoulder but keep your hands in the...

Instructor’s observations from the recent Combat Carbine & Lowlight Techniques

-Is your WML powerful enough for your weapon’s intended use? “Too bright” is better than “too dim”. Some students had a hard time seeing steel targets painted red, yellow, blue, and green at even 80 yards. Some could see the red and yellow steel, but the darker blue and green targets faded...

They also take very specific and particular training to run well. Very different motions from running an AK/AR. I‘m offering a Combat Shotgun in April that’ll fix that for folks!

    Charging target system

The red base is a weight sled for strength/endurance training. My steel target holders (the white part) have a central spike that you drive into ground. The spike fit perfectly into the central pipe that goes through the center of the weight plates. A couple bungees to keep the target...
