No, star fire has ridges inside the cavity, similar idea to the Hydra-Shok, it's supposed to move the liquid pressure against the cavity walls (unevenly, in the case of the Starfire) to cause mushrooming. Designed by same guy, FYI, who also designed the EFMJ.
