10.5 is minimum length, with a pistol length gas tube. Still expect fireballs, and possibly the bolt outrunning the magazine (failure to feed), unless you reduce the gas port size and/or add a heavy buffer and/or spring. Gotta slow that BCG down. Mine runs like a champ with a folder on it, and...
