lol, that's about where I started whittling...almost exactly 5 years ago. I did have a 444 Marlin, 357 sig, 223 ackley improved, and no 300 wby or 30 carbine.

lol, yeah when I first got married I had a 10/22, maybe 200 rounds and a Ruger P89 with maybe 150 rounds. That seemed like a lot at the time.

Ideally I'd like to be able to survive a long term ammo drought like we're seeing in reasonably priced rimfire now. 2-3k/per caliber won't get me there.

That's probably about right. I'm sure I have waaay less than some guys on here, NWS would laugh at what I thought was a "lot" for sure, but it's getting close to where I'm less enthused about buying it.
