    I swear I'm going to put a lanyard on the tv remote and tie it to my end table. Wife and daughter returned from a week at in laws 3.5 hours ago. Remote is lost. 30 minutes looking and I've got nothing but the app on my phone works (as long as the tv is already turned on).

    Honestly, it's probably fine. Floor loads were a big part of my previous job. Old wood was much stronger, but old things have their problems. That assumes the wood is in good condition and not damaged over the last 70ish years.

    Typical residential design floor live load is 40 pounds/ sq ft (psf) for common areas. 30 psf for sleeping areas.
