    I have never cut a dovetail... not sure if you want my first attempt, but that's a deal I'd definitely take. :) Already have the bushing set and 60 degree router bit.

    I think we're taking about a bottleneck car here, so it headspaces off the shoulder. Setting it deeper won't change case/ chamber friction... but it could affect light primer strikes.

    Got some blood wood that I'm going to try to make some bright red handles from... looks a lot less orange in person.

    A little bondo will fill those old mortises in the frame. Just mix it and let it get kinda set before you start putting it on. Less fighting gravity that way.
