Not when it comes to pump shotguns in my opinion. The 870 variant is fine, but I've always liked the slicker action and better finish on the cheapo Mossbergs. It's a coin flip, but you can rust an 870 simply by looking at it too hard.

10mm is great in an auto, but 41 mag beats it in a revolver.

For deer hunting I like a standard duplex reticle like the Nikoplex, or NF Forceplex. They are fast and uncluttered. For target shooting, one of the NF MOAR reticles.
