    New Glock

Then the “goofy configuration” is not Glock’s fault.......they followed the parameters of the contract. The G19 frame did not fit the criteria specified in the MHS contract, so Glock couldn’t just slap a safety and a lanyard ring on a G19, paint it tan, and call it a day. Glock already had a...

Med course: Self Care & Buddy Aid , March 4, TruPrep in Marietta

I am pretty sure that Rod talked to TruPrep about IFAK’s last time he taught this class there. The kit that is in the ad above is one that he designed, so it’s what he recommends, but I know that several students used kits they purchased at TruPrep. I’ll ask Rod about the available IFAK’s at...

    New Glock

Always hated the G27. When I started at Marietta PD I carried my personal S&W 442 for my on-duty BUG. Later, MPD purchased G27’s for all officers and we had to carry those if we wanted a BUG. Hated it.

    New Glock

I haven’t seen very many G26’s on the range. My old agency issued the G22 and G27, as did/do a large number of Georgia LE agencies. Because of this, I have seen a large number of G27’s in action, but very few G26’s.

    New Glock

Glock mags are cheap enough that it wouldn’t bother me, but sounds secure enough that it ain’t necessary.

    New Glock

Excellent! Thanks for the info. I’m so anal about shit like that I can see me using 5-minute epoxy to permanently lock them in place!

    New Glock

I’ve never used one. Do they fit snugly enough to stay in place while in a mag pouch and during reloads?

    New Glock

There is at least 1 company that makes an adapter that slides onto the bottom of Glock mags, for use when using a longer magazine in a shorter frame. This fills a lot of that “gap” and I would think it would alleviate any possible issues. Here is one for using G17/G22 mags in the G26/G27...

    New Glock

It could be, since most .40 FMJ’s use a truncated cone design, but this design mimics the profile of many hollowpoints. So, if it won’t feed with a flatpoint FMJ, I wouldn’t trust it with HP’s.

    More new Rugers...

Ruger’s really moving forward with a lot of their designs. Used to be when I thought of Ruger all I thought of was “tough revolvers”.

    New Glock

I have personally seen malfunctions caused by using a G22 magazine in a G27. When a shooter does this, their bottom finger or 2 rests on the front of the magazine instead of the front strap of the frame. There is enough play in the magazine fit in the magwell that when the shooter puts...

    Sig P365

The P365 has a much lower bore axis than is typical of that company. The P365 is shorter, slimmer, and weighs less (when empty) than the G43, but holds 10+1 with a flush-fit magazine. With an MSRP or $599, I’m gonna guess around $500 retail. That ain’t bad when you consider that it comes...

    New Glock

Not understanding the hatred of the 19X as a CCW. Glock never designed it to be a CCW. It was designed to fit the parameters of the MHS contract, except they left off the thumb safety for the civilian market. It was designed as a military sidearm, or secondary weapon. The barrel length and...

thoughts on Remington 700 ADL stainless 30-06

I’ve got several rifles in the safe that I’ve git well over $5000 wrapped up in. When deer season rolls around, I reach past them for my old Remington 788 .308 That I’ve owned for almost 24 years. Never let me down and we’ve got history together.

You should be able to unscrew the brake and put a thread protector on. No worries. I wouldn’t worry about the trigger, either. Factory Remington triggers are shit, pre- or post-recall. Replace it with a nice aftermarket and you’re good to go.

I wouldn’t be crazy about the brake on a .30-06 hunting rifle, but it should be easily removed, if it bothers you. If it’s a trigger job on the factory trigger, I’d be leery of it unless I knew who did it. Easy enough to replace the trigger with an excellent aftermarket replacement.

    Recommend a 10mm

Not sure, I’ve never heard of that. A buddy of mine has an EAA Witness 10mm that he’s had for at least 12 years. He’s never had an issue with his. I realize that ain’t a cross section of ownership, though.
