Spike’s Tactical Releases Waterboarding Instructor Lower

The sentiment doesn’t bother me at all, but I want all my AR’s to be capable of being used as a weapon. I wouldn’t want to use something like this lower in an actual shooting.......you know it would be used against you.

    My daughter’s First M4 completed

From Black River Tactical’s website: The BRT extended length gas system was created to allow optimum performance from 16" barrels. The gas system length controls the timing of the gas cycle and overall gas drive available. Existing gas systems, while functional, don't offer the balance of...

    My daughter’s First M4 completed

Yep. It’s longer than a midlength, but shorter than the Noveske Extended Length, which was designed for an 18” barrel. The BRT system uses a proprietary length system, with a specific gas port size, all specifically designed for optimum functioning with a 16” barrel.

Basic Precision Rifle Course, Sept 22-23, Pelham TN

The range in TN owed me a favor and said that I wouldn't have to pay for range usage the weekend of September 22-23. I'll pass that savings on to y'all. The 2-day Basic Precision Rifle Course, where we shoot out to 1,000yds, is normally $600, but for this particular weekend I will only charge...

    Krebs 9x39 prototype!?!

    It’s interesting. I’m shooting 220grn SMK’s at a nominal velocity of 1,000fps (manufacturer’s claim, I haven’t chrono’ed it), that’s 489 ft/lbs ME. A sample load of the 9x39mm is a 259grn pill at 920fps, for 487 ft/lbs ME. Virtually identical. Of course, you could handload that 259grn...

    Upgraded a student’s M4

I like having the light between 11 - 1 o’clock because it works best with a wider assortment of cover; strong side, support side, over the top.

    Upgraded a student’s M4

Yes. I don’t really consider it looking through the optic, not like you would a magnified scope. Both eyes open, the housing for the RDS becomes translucent, as does the flashlight. Even if it weren’t, it is in the lower portion of the optic. All my carbines are set up the same with, with...

I’ve never seen an actual need for them on a semi-auto, but they don’t hurt anything.

    Upgraded a student’s M4

Started as a stock DD V7LW. Nothing wrong with it and she ran very, very well. Student is a short-statured, small female, and chose this particular carbine on my recommendation. Left it mostly stock while she learned how to run it. Only changes were a Smith Enterprise flash hider and RRA...

    AR in 6.8 SPC or 7.62x39 ??

Getting a 7.62x39mm AR to run correctly requires more work than 6.8SPC does. Most 6.8SPC ammo should be more accurate than most 7.62x39mm ammo. 7.62 ammo is cheaper than 6.8 ammo. For running suppressed and the like, easier to find good ammo in 6.8.

    Finished a build for a co-worker

The more I play with these Seekins NOXs rails the more I like them. I have large hands and larger rails have never bothered me, but the Seekins NOXs with some Magpul Type 1 MLOK covers feels damn good. Not in my firing grip, but I can wrap my hand all the way around the rail, with my thumb...
