    There's always room for a .308 battle rifle with ~ 5-7 MOA @ 100yds ;)

lol, point taken. I guess I was speaking of the pre-packaged kits that @KhyberPass was posting earlier ... was just curious if there was a kit that covered the general basics for around the home or basic carry, but could be added on to (yet still usable as a supplement until one gained enough...

Getting back on track, do any of you guys have links / suggestions to some pre-built sets for general applications? Don't get me wrong, I've read through all the above, but wondering if there is a more basic kit (For those of us with just minimal training) that we could use as a "Starter" kit...

I'll just use my unsterile, less-than-razor-sharp Kershaw that I keep in the box ... what could go wrong?

I actually did get some training on that, but for whatever reason, I still don't have a scalpel in any of my boxes ...

Gotcha, doubt I have any real need for one, but then again, with my neighborhood getting pretty sketchy lately, good to know in case I get drunk and go on a med shopping spree ;)

Copy, leave it to @Knight to be all sketch when giving advice. Am I the only one who envisions him showing up to a scene, a Coors in one hand and posting on SET in his right hand, with deft observations like "Damn, bet that hurt"? I kid ;)

I don't have any chest seals or anything that advanced in my box-O'-Bandaids, honestly haven't looked at adding anything other than what we were shown in our basic classes. Is this something I could competently apply as a rookie, or leave it out until trained?

I wonder if @AtlMedic still stops by, I learned a lot from him in an older thread. I miss him, he always posted a lot of woodworking & Medic expertise

I didn't think of Israeli bandages having an expiration date, you just made me go check mine, but all are good until 2024. See, I told ya I was outta the loop!

Copy that - As I mentioned above, I have a lot of "left-overs" from restocking other kits, I tend to end up with an assortment of items, but as I also mentioned, I don't keep up with the times & unsure of what would be detrimental if a new & improved option is available. I end up with a lot of...

So just to clarify, I should keep both the QC powder packs as well as the QC sponges / compresses, but only use the powder form when a pressure dressing is not conducive? (I'm not expecting medical advice and do not take any suggestions as legal medical advice) ;)

I need to up my game on usage as well; I've had 3 or 4 basic classes (put on by local airport fire / EMS), they got us to the point of being able to handle small to medium cases, or in severe cases, the basics of what to do until EMS arrives on scene within 10 mins. I'm woefully unprepared for...

Item-specific question: What's the word on QuickClot products? I seem to recall that the powder was frowned upon once they came out with quickclot sponges as the powder was hard to clean out of the wound. Have some of both, just curious if I should throw out the powder packs.

I need to up my kit game. Definitely need some of the high-speed, low-drag compact kits without the extra fluff. Here is my truck-kit, used an old pistol case and stocked it up with left-overs & it ended up being a repository for anything that didn't have a home, everything from antacids to...
