29" wheels are pretty much the standard these days, they're easier to roll over shit because they're bigger. The 69er concept gives you the easier obstacle clearance of a 29 in the front and the better torque/spinup in the rear with the 26. It'll also give me a little higher bottom bracket height

Ordered a hub adapter and what I need to mount the brake caliper today. Just need a 180mm disc and a stem to be usable with the current 26" wheel...

Decent bikes are a lot like guns. There's always some new, weird gimmick and some way to spend an ungodly amount of money....but it's fun and you can make weird shit.

Hardtails will be a bit faster, but any good modern full squish is going to have a pretty firm lockout on both shocks. Technically, 26" wheels are stronger that 29", but either will be fine unless you're huge.

Just ordered the headset reducer. Waiting for the fork to get here to order more shit, but I think I can grab a hub spacer, caliper bracket, and caliper adapter and be rideable on the 26" wheel until I find a 29
