Yes I'll be putting BUIS on an AR15 build.

Does that sound right or am I off base having 2 different zero 1 for iron and 1 for red dot.

I like idea of absolute with both irons and dot sighted in different. I wonder if the red dot far zero is at 200yd and the irons are set at 100 yd far zero would the red dot be a pumpkin on the post or irons at a 6 o'clock view with red on top. May have to look into that. Thanks for the help.

I'm working on a new build and with that I started thinking about the optics. I use the BUIS with my AR and I'd like to put a Primary Arms or Bushnell red dot up on top with them. I'm curious to know those of you that do this do you co-witness and if so is it set up for absolute or lower 1/3...

I will clean it between 750 to 1000 I let it soak in Balistol then brush the baffles clean.

If you get SS baffles they are just as easy to clean as monocore in media. Not sure about the weight difference prolly not much in rimfire cans. I use the Spectre II and it's a great can just make sure you align the stack right when putting back together and happy shooting

Thanks @freedom I think going to Integrity Arms websight and picking up that barrel low pro gas block and tube is next on my list. Almost there.

I saw that too does the Colt mag fed have the last round bolt open or is there machining involved and are the PSA Colt lowers compatible with different upper makes.

Im thinking about going with the Faxon 14.5 and it has a .081 port at mid length giving me less recoil and muzzle flip. Now a low pro gas needs that size or greater diameter correct so there's no gas escaping or would a .750 fit with screws. Not sure

No there's no reference to barrel length. I'm thinking with mid length and larger diameter port it will help with the cycle rate since it slows it down.
