I didn't assume you were referring to a 1911, I know what you carry. I carried a 1911 for a while. It's my favorite gun to shoot & it's the one I shoot the best. If I were to grab .45 to carry tomorrow, it would be a 1911, only because 1911 is the only .45 I currently own.

I get it, and I agree. I just feel that I personally would benefit more from having additional opportunities to put one where it counts than I would to rely on my own accurate precision shooting in a situation where the adrenaline is pumping and I may or may not have shit my pants.

That's good if you only want to SBR one lower and may switch to another caliber later. I just made the decision that if I wanted another caliber later I'd just pay for another stamp and wait.

I found that a good mag block just didn't make sense when compared to the cost of a dedicated 9mm lower. Plus they just look better IMO.

I use ammo cans. I don't have enough safe for all that, but it maximizes space in the closet. I've seen some people using paint cans, which is good if you keep your ammo loose. Also allows you to hide them in plain sight.
