    The Ruger SR1911.....you need one.

Nice Colts Rich! I've got two myself. Great fighting handguns. They feel right in your hand, point well, recoil little, very accurate, and there's a lot to be said about a 230-grain chuck of lead! :)

    Mini 14 scope

You can do it Dog, but you won't get a good cheek-weld (or possibly any cheek-weld) when you look through/use the scope with high rise scope rings. Maybe you can get some sort of quick release mount and use low rings...but you might have to re-zero the scope every time you put it back on (but...

    Mini 14 scope

You can get a decent 3x9x40 Bushnell or Simmons scope in that price range. A shotgun scope will also work well too. "Tweener" type scopes are approximately 2x7x32. IMO, budget-priced scopes work great when the light is good. The more expensive scopes really shine in low light though.

    What are you carrying today?

Heading to the mall in a few minutes...so I'm leaving the LCP at home and carrying a full-size Colt 1911 and a spare mag. Hey, "I be needin' it for squirrels and such." :)

    Kahr-Auto Ordnance M1 Carbine .30 ML

Nice score...congrats! I had the opportunity to shoot a WWII M1 Carbine a few years ago. I was surprised with the low recoil and accuracy. It's a very handy rifle. Please give us a range report after you pop some caps out of it! :)

    Thinking about buying an AK

I own an AR-15, but I'm certainly not going to knock an AK-47. Both are great rifles. The AR is more accurate at longer distances and you can really customize/configure one to suit your needs. I have three different sighting systems for mine, and my detachable carry-handle lets me change the...

    What are you carrying today?

Nice Redmond! I especially like your S&W Model 36 and the Springfield 1911. I still have my Buck 110 that I got when I was 16. They last forever! :)

    What are you carrying today?

Thanks Rich and Muk. They are Uncle Mike's Boot Grips. Although I have a number of handguns, I only use three for concealed carry...the S&W snub, LCP, and a Colt XSE Lightweight Govt. Model. I have three holsters for each gun. What I carry out on the street depends on how I'm dressed and the...

    What are you carrying today?

My choice for today's Sunday afternoon handgun is a S&W Model 37. This one was made in 1973-1974.

    What are you carrying today?

That's an excellent combination! I do the same thing a lot, except it's a Model 37 and an LCP.

    What are you carrying today?

Right this very second (in my recliner watching TV), I've got my LCP in a Blackhawk front pocket holster. However, when I went to the mall for a few hours today, the LCP was in the Uncle George Wallet Holster in my right rear pocket...because I was carrying a full-size Colt 1911 .45 in an IWB...

    The truth about posers

Absolutely the best article I've read in a long time! I especially liked his opinions about the "Forum Warriors." Thanks for posting this article!
