Bunch of fucking idiots
Guess I'll pay my guys with hand sanitizer soaked checks

I lost smell for only one day.
Neither of us ever had a fever.

Suz and I were at the doctor last week & he mentioned lots of people thinking they had Covid but it was actually this season's flu. He believes this is going to be a very bad flu season after last year's mild one (or maybe last year was underreported with everything being placed in the Covid column). He also said the flu shot this year doesn't seem to be working against whatever strain of flu is in Georgia now.

Not saying folks don't have Covid, just something to think abot.

My faa doc explained to me this way.
This years shot is not effective against this years flu strain, but the shot from 5 years ago was. That’s why you never miss a flu shot.
I haven’t missed one in over 20 years.
Also have not had the flu in that time.
What I thought was flu 10 years ago was actually Lyme.

My son had the crud for 2-3 weeks about a month ago. Never had a fever. Bike shop made him get tested and he was negative.

And then he got strep over Thanksgiving. And mis-diagnosed as mono.

I don't get the annual flu shots since I left the Guard in '06. Haven't had the flu since then, either. Even when I used to get on a plane each week with my old job.

Well, I’m in New Orleans with my son.
Got here last night at 11:00, went to the Airbnb, and it’s…well…in a ghetto slum. Abandoned cars parked out front, large piles of trash and debris in the yards, dimly lit area with blinking cop lights on top of telephone poles. We didn’t even park out front and try the door. Clearly an area that we wouldn’t have been welcomed.
Drove around till we found a decent hotel in Metairie. Just got up a bit ago and had breakfast in the lobby.

I feel like I licked a road sign.

At this point, our 10-day stay here is doubtful. Might try find a decent area and see if there’s anything reasonable, if not, might just drive back and have Christmas/New Year’s at home.
