It's been reworked with Polish front trunnion and barrel.
Did you have to replace the bolt? Can't remember if SA2000 came with a single or double stack lower lug. I've stayed with SA2000 because it was single stack. Missed a couple of 85M on OTD, and been kicking myself ever since.

Exactly the same thing that happened in Savannah with the train. Literally the same scenario... Assistant Directors getting innocent people killed.
I’m still kinda confused about that whole thing.
It’s a movie set. Nobody’s doing any target shooting, right?
Why have live rounds on set at all?

Wait, I think I answered my own question - they sometimes DO actually film some target shooting.
But anyone who knows much of anything about guns should know the difference.
Just gotta keep the idiots away from the guns/ammo on set.

So now I see your point, and this whole post was useless.
Thanks for reading.

Got a question for y’all gun nuts:

I’ve got a takedown 10/22.
The iron sights are so damn low they’re difficult to use. I’ve adjusted everything I can.
So I wanted to add a smallish scope, but only on a QD mount because, DUH, it’s a takedown model and should be able to be taken apart. And I’ve already got a nice 10/22 with a great scope ‘welded’ to it.

But once I put a picatinny rail on the top, I REALLY can’t use the irons. They’re completely blocked now.

I can’t seem to find any taller sights. Nobody makes em.

So I guess the solution is to put a QD red dot on it for when I’m not using the scope, right?
But it’s gotta be LOW and QD.

Ideas?

There should never ever be live ammo on set under any circumstances, I don't care what anyone says. I know enough about movies and SPFX to know that they can pull off anything they need with blanks and squibs.

The pic rail I have on mine allows me to use the irons (more-or-less). The depression down the middle of the rail lines up basically with the rear sight. But, irons aren't much use to me anymore, so there's that.
I've never looked for higher front/rear sights for one. Would be a good idea.

Everyone talks about replacing real prop guns with CGI.... how about we replace the unqualified people with professionals?

There are roles and responsibilities on set, especially with dangerous stuff like prop guns, squib bombs, and pyrotechnics. Every one of those things has a specialized department.

If you’re wanting to use irons or the takedown is everything you want to use it for inside of 25yds since irons don’t have the windage out to 100yds in 22lr not that I’ve seen.

Also I have the design contest winner 10/22 and the pic rail has a ghost ring aperture sight built in the rail ...

Thought on the scope is if you’re wanting to mount on a QD for takedown and easy packing that’s cool but if you’re using it to eradicate squirrels and rabbits inside 50yds a red dot should be fine on a QD mount
