That folder may be worth looking into.
Not a bad price.

Eventually gonna turn my bike into a 69er. Found a good deal on a nearly new Lefty Ocho. Gonna have to get another $250-500 in shit to make it work, but it's gonna be dope.

Hiked a local MTB trail yesterday with the pup, I can't wait to hit it on 2 wheels.

Just ordered the headset reducer.
Waiting for the fork to get here to order more shit, but I think I can grab a hub spacer, caliper bracket, and caliper adapter and be rideable on the 26" wheel until I find a 29

I keep saying I want to get a good bike. But I’m fat... And I haven’t. I never had a good bike and was always limited to the Walmart specials. I’ve heard the 29” models are much better than the ones I had back in the day. I also have heard one with a rigid frame and only front shocks pedals easier. I am also still fat.

Hardtails will be a bit faster, but any good modern full squish is going to have a pretty firm lockout on both shocks.
Technically, 26" wheels are stronger that 29", but either will be fine unless you're huge.

Decent bikes are a lot like guns. There's always some new, weird gimmick and some way to spend an ungodly amount of money....but it's fun and you can make weird shit.

Truck project has too much of my time!
I got two potential. Dad ended up falling in love with the CJ5 before I could pay him for it so I lost out on that. BUUUUTTTTT..... I really need to start on my W200 anyway. Have a 318 and a 360 I could put in it. But really want to do a Cummins. Gonna drag it in to the shop hopefully in a few weeks.

You want new or used?

He can probably sell a used one at a good deal but I'd have to check first to see what frame sizes he has.

He works at Atlanta Cycling in Duluth Fridays after school and all day Saturdays. He's a tech so he's in the back with all the other wrench turners.

Any chance they've got some 27.5 or 29 lefty wheels?

He has a large frame Raleigh fitness hybrid. More of a road bike than mountain bike but with MB bars - no suspension. 27 speed. Strictly street bike. 700C wheels (29").

Any interest? If so, can send pics, etc.

@Rwjeter
Slap a set of cyclocross/gravel tires on that and it's be a great place to start.

Meh. I’m willing to risk that. Go for it!
