That one died....picked up an old Cannondale Jekyll 3000...just put a stiffer spring, some shims, and fresh oil in the Lefty. About to take it for the inaugural gym ride. Of everything goes well, I'll hit a trail this weekend

Bruh, get new pads and bleed the brakes. Can probably get new pads, fluid, and a bleed kit for $50-60 on Amazon. It'll make a world of difference.

The brakes on this Cannondale are fucking amazing compared to the elixir CR I had on the single speed. They're 4 piston and really smooth. Those elixirs were all or fucking nothing.

Overall, no big problems on the ride. Rear shock is gonna get a little more air, might remove a spacer from the front, and I need to adjust the derailleur.

This shock is definitely gonna satisfactory while I wait for a deal on one of the pneumatic versions.

The Lefty shocks, if you can get them tuned right, are actually some of the best for bigger guys. They overbuilt the shit out of them since they only have one leg.

I still have rox shocks from 98.
There’s probably less than 200 miles on the bike though.

The higher end old rock shox have a bit of a cult following. The company was bought and sold a few times in the 00's and, at least from what I've heard, never really kept the legacy alive.

The old stuff was American made and the guy that started the company basically invented suspension for mountain bikes...

Mine is a 97 Trek purchased in 98. Front suspension only.
I need to pull it out an get new tires and a tune up. And by the wife an ebike so she’ll ride with me when we go camping.

Seems about right.
2-3 months for delivery.
Nah. Everywhere around here can't/won't order new stuff because they aren't being given delivery dates.

Sonders might be a good option. A little cheaper than some of the big brands and I think they have stock.
I know someone who got one of the Kickstarter sonders a few years ago and loves it.
