Price is the least of my concerns when it comes to firearms. If they were disposable, maybe....but they aren't.

yeah, that is the only exception as far as I know, When they can commonly be had for less than 600 and mags are relativity easy to come by I plan on picking one up.

For me, a Glock 19 does everything I could ever really ask a gun to do. BUT, I do really like the VP9.

I have had both Glocks and H&ks. h&K just seems to be a more higher end pistol with alot of better working parts in the slide. But with that being said I sold my usp 40 and still have my g22 with I love.

I dig both for different reasons, HK is like the Audi of the gun world to me, high end, expensive, harder to get parts for, but super nice. Glock is the Honda Civic of the gun world to me, cheaper, dependable, easy to work on, and you can sink a ton of money in one to make it as nice as you want. Both have their place, but in the end, it's apples and oranges. Different guns for different people. I currently have a VP9 and don't see myself getting rid of it any time soon. Simply because it doesn't need a "motor swap" and "body kit" to do what I need it to comfortably.

I love my 17. I purposely didn't clean it for about 700 rounds and then went to Fighting Pistol where is was dirty and dusty with my gun being thrown on the ground more than a few times and it didn't have a single problem.

I agree. A pistol has to be pushing north of a grand before price starts to become a consideration.

Having said that...for a grand - give or take $100 - I can have two Glocks. If someone offered to buy me one of any pistol under $1000, I would still ask for a G17 or 19 and leave $500 on the table.

I lean more towards Glock for these reasons alone-

1) Glock Factory is Smyrna and perform free warranty work on site same day.
2) Factory Mag's and other common parts are cheap
3) Reliability

Either...like i tell people at the shop, they'll both probably run forever...it's what you are willing to spend and which one you shoot the best.

I could throw my Glocks off a building and not shed a tear but bump an Hk into a counter, I'd probably cry.

I just got rid of a g19, g17, and g29....I'm running a Hk vp9 and an fnx tactical right now. Nothing wrong with a glock at all!! I liked all of mine, I can just run my hk and my fnx better. I do miss my g19 though...

glock seems like a one trick pony, HK has pistols, rifles, sub machines......... glocks are good guns from what I heard, just not the high caliber of HK.

You'd still cringe a little... I would/have even on my old gen 2 G22 when fell out of a cheapo holster and left a nice gash on the slide, and it was a police trade in that was already well loved

I'm trying to get @jwtug to trade me that P30 he has so I can do a Glock vs HK torture test video.
