$5M class action suit filed against Century Arms

Just saw this on Century Arms. Just when I really thought they were doing well and selling pretty quality rifles. Not that I personally give a crap about a safety, but still a warning if anything that QA/QC and testing is subpar...

A class action lawsuit brought against Century Arms claims the gun company produced a series of rifles with a defective safety and has made no effort to fix the problem.

The lawsuit, seeking $5 million, was filed in a Florida federal court on Jan. 19. It says the safety selector on Century’s AK-47 rifles “will not and has not prevented an accidental discharge” when switched above the safe position.

“This problem is caused by the inadequate design, manufacturing, and testing of the Class AK-47 Rifles and the Safety Selector mechanism,” the lawsuit says.

I wasn't able to watch the video yet. I'm curious, which gun(s) is affected by this? The Zastava PAP series? The RAS47 and C39v2? The older C39?

cant turn the volume up at work but the video appears to be all stamped guns. ill try and verify what all is affected though.

I just pulled my RAS out, and it's gtg. Semi auto selector in that model anyway.

I just checked and yep, I'm never gonna partially disassemble my gun with a live round in the chamber and then fiddle with any part of the fire control group, so I'm gtg too.

Yep, mine has the same problem. No problem though, ALWAYS check the chamber for a round even with the mag out!! Habit I have anyways.

So.....taking a gun apart with a live round in the chamber is now the SOP? I guess I can sue Dodge if when installing a new battery terminal I don't disconnect both batteries first and I lose a hand from electrical burns.
