All direct thread here. Thinking about getting a qd can though.

I swap my M4-2000 between three different uppers all the time. But, I've got a Harvester pending for a precision rifle also. My next can will be a Rugged 762. And I'll run it on multiple rifles as well. To me, the majority of buyers pretty much expect and demand a solid QD system that locks up tight, doesn't freeze onto the mount and offers repeatable or minimal POI shift. I just wish that the Rugged or Deadair cans had come along 2 years sooner.

All the guns(except my CC gun) I use are suppressed. So I don't have a need for FA/QD mounts. I'm curious if people really use that feature. Do you?
I prefer a FA/QD for the reasons @DarthVader listed. It makes it convenient to run on multiple hosts and not have to worry about the barrel threads of a host that doesn't have the can currently on it.

Plua it allows me to use a 7.62 can on a 5.56 host with out swapping any sort of adapter.

When at the range I swap between my 308, mosin, and AR's.

Honestly a direct thread would be no slower, BUT I don't worry about the can loosening during fire.

Sandman or Griffin 30sd. Sandman is one handed and super tight lockup with very little POI shift. Griffin mount is easy to use, utilizes A2 flash hiders, and additional cool mounts from them are generally cost effective

Even with QD I try and thread all my rifles 5/8x24, hell threading can sometimes be cheaper than mounts!
