If I was to blow some coin on a .45, I'd buy this...

I had a '96 S10 SS stepside that I drove off the showroom floor. I loved that little truck. I sold it DIRT cheap to my then brother-in-law and regretted it shortly after when my ex and I split.
Yeah, I had a 98 Sonoma and sold it to my wife's aunt. Pretty sure she is currently destroying it..... So I bought this one. 96 with the 4.3 and a 5 speed. I just wish it was 4x4.....

Very nice!

If you spot me a extra 6k, I can upgrade to Laramie with the all leather int. ;)

I hope to pick it up this weekend, I've been working a deal all week, it's a 2016 and $14,000 off MSRP.

And back to the OP's question, Don't get the HK, the resale is nothing on them. Or buy a used one for $650 bucks... The .45 should hold its value a little better.

The cheapest I've ever seen a Mk23 was $1500 and it sold very fast.

I have seen a lot of the HK's sit around on the secondary market, and not move very fast at all. It looks like the MK-23 is a exception to the rule, my bad. :)

And how much are the mags for the HK? If you get a traditional .45, the mags are easy to find, and cheep vs what you would be paying for the HK mags.

I just googled it... $50-55.00 bucks per mag... Ouch!

The way I see it, the Wilson is just a 1911. While it is a very very nice 1911, it's still a 1911.

The Mk-23 is kind of in a class of its own and has a cool history to it.

If someone put both guns in front of me and said I could only run a mag through one of them it would be the HK. Sooooo buy the HK so I can come shoot it :)

And the Mk23 has its own proprietary rail, that's entirely different from the USP, so you have the option of spending almost as much as the gun cost on one of the two light/laser units designed for it or spending $130 for a rather bulky rail adapter that gives you a few rows of picatinny.

But are you going to get a railed Wilson? Or do you even want to put a light on it?
