So I'm looking to mount my
Nightforce NXS Rifle Scope 30mm Tube 5.5-22x 50mm On my Remington 700 and I need some recommendations or suggestions on what to look for in a mount?

Good reviews on a solid 1 piece would be my guess.
Yes, that was vague and obvious.
It's common enough that you should have multiple good options.

I think the best question is why are you putting such an expensive scope on a remington?

For precision work I would recommend a Picatinny-spec 20MOA rail from Nightforce, TPS, Badger Ordnance, or Seekins Precision.

For rings, same manufacturer.

I may have a base and/or rings in the shop to fit your rifle and scope. I'll check when I get home.

Remington 700's are good to learn on, they don't break the bank and I've always heard your optic away as should cost nearly as much or more than the rifle.

Fair enough. I figured with all that big SET money you would be rocking a 5000 dollar rifle. My bad.

I have a total of $2200 in this rifle.

Not bad at all. Not bypass level, but it should be a nice shooter. I'm very utilitarian, so I probably will never break 2 g's on a rifle. Keep us updated on the progress of your long range experience.

.308 - learn how to do long range shooting.
Don't do it. Did you get the NF from CPanic ? Do you reload ? Do you have dies, press, scales, powder, projectiles, primers, You Will. Do you know a good gun smith You Will.
Do you have a $300 front rest ? You will. Nice rem you got there so swap out the barrel (6.5x 47 Lapua)and get a new stock and have it bedded. Go with the NF 20MOA. I have the kit to lap it in and torque down.
Come on in the water is fine.

dougiemac, let me know if you need assistance in purchasing a mount and/or rings, or if you may be interested in the rings I have.

Once you get the parts, bring it all by my place. I can help you lap the rings and mount it all up.
