Ok, if my stamp approval falls in line with everything I've been seeing up to this point time wise, I'll probably get approved toward the end of this month, first of October on my SBR.

Here's my question. I'm leaving to go hunting out of state at the beginning of October. If my approval comes back when I'm out of state, and I have the pistol with me, would I be in violation of the law? I'm guessing yes, so I'm thinking if I haven't gotten the approval and my permission slip to take it across state lines I should just leave it at home...correct?

I'd love to take it with me, but I'm not risking anything to do it.

Thoughts?

Negative. As long as it's not in the SBR format you can take it across state lines.
No shit, even if the ATF considers it an SBR by s/n?

Cool, I'm glad to hear that. I was really hoping to bust some pigs with it.

Yep. ATF doesnt care about the SN. They just care about the configuration. 16+" barrel and you are good to go
