Well I went and did it. I finally purchased a Romak 3. The first thing I did was remove the Cheap ass scope and am now using the iron sights (extremely long sight radius so it should be good for long range with just the irons). First impression are I love it. It just has a nice look and feel to it. Nice and light for some hunting trips. Ten rounds of 7.62x54r (Prvi Partizan 7.62x54R Brass Cased Soft Point, 150 Grain) is plenty enough for any game animal I might come across.

Next thing on the list is a trip to the range when my ammunition gets here to sight this bad boy in. I will post some pics and a review after the range trip.

Nice, I have had a lot of good results using the Prvi Partizan.

I love mine, it's a hoot to shoot. I don't mind the Russian glass, though. I did buy a mount from Kalinka optics but either it was off or my rail is off but it needed A LOT of work to get the scope to work. But it centers the scope over the centerline of the rifle.

Yeah, this rifle is a whole lot of sexy.

Thanks for the link bro. I will check that out. Yeah I would prefer some decent American optics and a centerline scope is always better.

I need to look around for some ammo my rifle likes, I was shooting some shitty surplus stuff and it was around 2.5 MOA... I shot some 190 grain or so Tula Ammo or Silver Bear, and it seemed to group a little better, maybe 2.0ish MOA... The WalMart near me has some Tula 7.62x54r I think its around 170 grain, I need to try that stuff out, and see what it dose.

All that being said, 4 years ago I sent that rifle to Jim @ Rifle Dynamics while I was at Ft.McCoy... He said if you change just 1 thing, make sure its the Flash suppressor on a stock PSL... Apparently the stock one is horrible for accuracy... All that being said, I'm still looking for a ammo that will shoot less than 2 MOA for this rifle.
