78% of Oklahoma's roster isn't even from Oklahoma. It's more of a Texas/California team. The Texafornia sooners!
Half of California has their heritage from the great Oklahoma dust bowl migration....and there are Texican Americans on many college teams.
The point is, there's hardly a difference between a team from Oklahoma and one from Illinois....just where they happen to live temporarily. Don't let that put a damper on the vicarious victory though! Heck, even your coach is from Texas!
Oh there is a big difference. When is the last time you seen a Illinois team in top 5 or regularly playing for a national championship?
