Those are some good looking Smiths! I've always liked the metal framed S&Ws.

Obviously I've got a soft spot for them too. They just fit my hand perfectly.
Took me 10 years to find an ISP 39, but it was worth the search.

These are all part of my Aluminum Frame 9mmP collection

What's the one with the transparent grip? I've never seen anything like that before. Is that factory, or aftermarket?

Sell me that 5924 with the frame mounted decocker. That's where they should have put them all along.

Sort of BOTH. Aftermarket factory. These are "remanufactured" S&W 39s and 39-2s, made by George Nonte (first batch) for Armament Systems and Procedures, owned by Paris Theodore. Supposedly made for and issued to undercover CIA operatives, there were reportedly 286 changes from the original 39 to the ASP. No production records exist, and there are no serial number ranges because the guns were not purchased directly from S&W (they wanted no involvement in the project).
Later on, Devel, Austin Behlert, and other custom shops got into chopping down 39s - like the short nickeled one I have.
These eventually led S&W to make their own smaller 39 and 59 series guns, and the 669 and later 3913 were born.

Scroll back a couple pages, there's a bunch of photos of the ASP.

Send me an offer...I'll consider it :lever:

I'd have no idea on how much that thing is worth...send me a price and we can go from there. I hate negotiating with myself. ;)
