It's snake season, so watch where you tread. Snakes tend to stay to themselves, however when traipsing through the woods, we often engage them and they respond in defense. Non-venomous snakes are often protected and are good for the environment and eco-system. Venomous snakes, although not as common through out every part of the state are still present in many areas. Be careful and watch where you tread.
