...or just stick with 5.45?

I'm torn. I love 5.45....but it seems that everything AK is 7.62. Am I crazy or not owning a 7.62 AK?

I have the oportunity to buy a very nice 7.62 AK...it's almost perfect...but if I do that means I won't be able to buy a 5.45 Krinkov. It seems like the 5.45 Krinks are drying up too...

Or should I just buy some Hornady 5.45 I can shoot at my local range and buy an RS Regulate mount to get my Aimpoint on my AK105. To get either the 7.62 AK or the Krink I'd have to sell my Aimpoint.

I guess there are two questions:

1. Should I diversify and get a 762 AK at the expense of getting a Krinkov?

2. Get neither the Krink or 762 AK and finish my AK105 build by getting an RS Regulate mount and slapping my Aimpoint PRO on it.

Go....

I thought everybody already owned an AK in x39. Is that not part of the man card (and woman card for some)

I concur.
Actually, I was just jerking his chain. Personally, I'm a X39 fan just for price & availability sake.

I was fortunate enough to shoot his 5.45 and it was mighty fine, so I could see going with 5.45 if I was sitting on a bunch of ammo

My son shot a deer last night with my 7.62x39 VZ58. It dropped in place. When we cleaned the deer we found the wound cavity to be baseball to softball sized. Everything within the "softball" was minced meat. It was an eye opener.

I wish whoever started importing 7.62x39 would have called it 308 Short or something..cuz that's what it is.

I also don't get why a lot of AR types lol down on 7.62x39 but sing the praises of 300 BO...

Don't sacrifice the Krink.

Or get a weekend job and get both?
