Let's see your SBS!

Is it something you did or had done?

Looking to convert an older Moss 500, looking for some ideas!

Remington 870 Police Wingmaster

Started as a 20" Police Wingmaster that came from NC State Corrections. Sent it to Wilson Combat for the conversion.

Barrel is a factory Remington 14" LE barrel with fixed Modified choke. I sent it to Vang Comp and had it backbored and the forcing cone lengthened.

Wilson Combat ghost ring sights with tritium front.

Hogue short LOP stock, Surefire forend.

Rear sling mount is GG&G, front is part of the Wilson Combat +1 mag tube extension. Sling is Blue Force Gear Vickers 2-point.

Burnt bronze and black Cerakote.

Bolt was factory hard chrome, so I had IonBond applied over it.

Yes, it's upside down, but I built a few non-nfa 14" Remington 870 PGA firearms a few years back, NO NFA papers needed. What you see is the custom shortened mag extension.

No, it's not...

Several years ago a buddy filed the paperwork, got his stamp and converted his Mossberg 500 to a two shot pump. One in the chamber and one in the tube. Pistol Grip shorty and since it started as a pistol grip shotgun and had never had a shoulder stock, it was classified as an AOW and cost him a whopping $5.00 for the stamp. He used it mostly as an attention getter at gun shows and it worked. I saw him shoot it once. I don't remember the total length but it was really short. Had to cut the tube, the slide rails, the heat shield and the fore end. Worked out nicely.

It's only a 5 dollar stamp to transfer an AOW. It's a 200 dollar stamp to build one.

Buying an AOW makes sense. Building one is stupid.

He built this one and only paid a $5.00 stamp. Not sure what the sequence was, but he built it, I watched him do it, and the stamp was only $5.00 Must have been some kind of loop hole for that to work.
