What's the easiest and best way to do this?

I have to ship it from FFL, or just go to UPS/FEDEX and ship to FFL?

What's the usual cost to ship?

Fedex is the only way to go.

Depends on if the FFL you're shipping to accepts from an individual or not. If they do just take it to Fed-Ex and ship it through them. I've shipped to FFL's before and just went into the nearest Fed-Ex/Kinko's and shipped it through them. I was shipping a pistol so I had to send it next day air and it was about $40 IIRC.

Fedex is the only way to go.

This! DO NOT SHIP IT THROUGH UPS!...unless you feel like them losing or damaging the package and having to go through 3 months worth of bullshit insurance claims with them.
